Freeford

A watercolour painting of Freeford Hall in the 18th Century. Freeford has been the seat of the Dyott family since the Elizabethan era.

Richard Dyott (1808-1891) was Member of Parliament for Lichfield from 1865 to 1880.

During WWI Freeford Hall became a Red Cross convalescent hospital. The Dyott family moved into Crossroads Farm in Whittington for the duration.
